Nepal Comfort Tour Service (P) Ltd. was established in 1999 and is registered under the rules and regulations of the Government of Nepal. Over 27 years we have grown to a fleet of more than 46 vehicles, mostly recent models, serving reputed hotels, NGOs, trekking and travel agencies, embassies and government organisations across the country.
Ram Sharan Karki began his career in transportation in 1995, working with hotels and trekking companies before founding Nepal Comfort Tour Service in 1999. He is a former president of the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association (NTVA).

How much does it cost to hire a vehicle in Nepal?
Nepal Comfort prices to the published Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association (NTVA) rate card, effective 1 March 2024, which covers 187 routes across the country. The rate depends on the route and the vehicle class — car, BYD/Scorpio, Hiace, coaster or coach/bus. All rates exclude 13% VAT, and off-road, gravel and hill-road sections carry a 25% surcharge. What types of vehicle can I rent?
A fleet of more than 46 owned vehicles: cars including electric BYD models (4 passengers), BYDs and Scorpios (6–7), Toyota Hiaces (7–14), coasters (22–25), Higer coaches (29–31) and buses (27–39). Every vehicle is owned, serviced and driven by Nepal Comfort rather than subcontracted.
Do you provide airport transfers in Kathmandu?
Yes. Nepal Comfort operates arrivals and departures at Tribhuvan International Airport day or night, including night landings and dawn departures, with flight-time monitoring so the vehicle is there when the aircraft actually lands. Bookings are taken 24/7.
Can you transport trekking groups to the trailheads?
Yes. Nepal Comfort runs drop-offs and pick-ups at Besishahar, Nayapul, Syabrubesi, Jiri and every other major trailhead. Hiace vans and jeeps are the usual choice, with room for packs and duffel bags alongside passengers.
Do you offer long-term or corporate vehicle hire?
Yes. Monthly and contract hire with dedicated drivers is available for offices, NGOs, embassies and government organisations. Past clients include Habitat for Humanity, Berger Paints and Asian Paints. Nepal Comfort also handled all ground transport for Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s January 2012 state visit and delegate transport for the 51st IFATCA Annual Conference in Kathmandu.
Is Nepal Comfort a registered company?
Yes. Nepal Comfort Tour Service (P) Ltd. was established in 1999 and is registered under the rules and regulations of the Government of Nepal. It is a long-standing member of the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association, and its founder, Ram Sharan Karki, is a former president of that association.
Which parts of Nepal do you cover?
All of Nepal. Beyond the Kathmandu valley, the most requested destinations are Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini and Muktinath, and multi-day itineraries are built to your own dates. The NTVA rate card the pricing follows covers 187 named routes nationwide.
What is a return trip and how much does it save?
When a vehicle has completed a drop-off it often drives back to Kathmandu empty. Those return legs are offered at a discount of up to 60% of the normal rate — the same vehicle and the same driver, for a fraction of the price. Availability is listed on the Return Trips page and changes daily.
How do I book a vehicle?

Nepal Comfort confirms availability and a price the same day, usually within a few hours. The office is open Sunday to Saturday, 6am to 8pm, and bookings are answered 24 hours a day.
